Day 30 of Creativity Challenge! (Yesterday). Line doodles in pencil during a Toy Daggers session, while we were recording. It was the last day yesterday, yet today I ended up doing some pen doodles as well as using chopsticks, cardboard, and scraps of material braided to make a wall hanging. I got this "You, Me and the Sea" piece in Byron Bay at a friend's wonderful shop called Ahoy Trader and didn't know how to put it up! I had it taped to the wall and it kept falling off. I had enough lol so today I just tried stuff. First I looked for string, didn't have any. Then I remembered the curtain material I had leftover from the day I put up curtains. I cut long pieces and they looked kinda rough so I had the idea of braiding 3 of the pieces. It looked pretty cool. Then I safety pinned them to the material but it kept sagging in the middle. So I tried taping some cardboard together and it still sagged in the middle - it wasn't strong enough. SO I looked around my apartment for a rod or a stick, and couldn't find anything. Then I remember a pair of wooden chopsticks I had leftover from take-out sushi! I taped those together, they were still too short but when I paired them with the cardboard piece I had earlier they worked perfectly! Safety pinning everything meant I didn't have to sew today lol, maybe I will re-do it sometime but for now I'm pretty stoked with the results! Try it if you have a piece of material you want to make a wall hanging! 😊😀✌
Like I said, this challenge isn't going to end for me. It's totally changed my life, and woken something up that had been dormant for a long time. I am so grateful for it, the woman who introduced it to me, and all of you who have been following along, sharing with me, and also just giving me love and support. It's been such an amazing month. I've gotten the courage to do things that scare me, new things, going outside my comfort zone in more ways than one. Thank you for giving me a safe space to share and open my heart wide. Please continue to send me your art and photos and messages etc. even though the challenge has ended. I love hearing from you. And...I'll keep you posted when I get my Patreon up and running for even more creative things!!!
Soooo much love to you all. U have no idea how much you mean to me.
Big big love. ❤💚💛💜💙
And Happy Canada Day to my Canadian friends!
