After hearing about Dallas my heart is broken even more. I can't believe it. I'm allowing myself to feel all these feelings of pain, anger, frustration, sadness, and whatever else is coming up. Allowing the tears to fall instead of in the past where I would dissociate and hold these things at an arm's length so that I didn't have to feel so strongly. I have a history of trauma as you know, and this makes me feel like CRAZY, and I still am not great at regulating or controlling my emotions. However, I'm so grateful I have done enough healing (autocorrect wanted to say "leaking" lol and that's true too...Fred says I'm leaking when I'm crying hehe) to let these things in now, because when I feel, it hurts and is still scary yes, but it also gives me the strength and courage and inspiration to stand up, speak out, and be more of the change I want to see in the world. I'm tired of sitting on the sidelines. We need love people. More love. More love. Always more love. Release the fear, especially of each other, though it's not easy in times like this. For all the violence and hatred, see as well all the helpers, the lovers, the dreamers. We are all human, we are all connected. If you don't believe this is true think about how you feel watching someone get hurt, watching someone laugh, etc. I'll bet you can feel it too, if you let yourself. Compassion is one of the greatest gifts we have as human beings. Feeling is a blessing. From my own experience, this compassion and feeling and connectedness is what makes the change happen. It creates the miracles, causes mountains to move, and gives you the strength you didn't even know you had. Let's not use this as a reason to separate further from each other. Let's use this as an opportunity to stand together, become united, and to be the change we want to see.
So much love and light to you all out there.
Oh, I went on so much there I forgot I was even posting a picture....this is a painting I made and I put it right by my bedside to remind me to choose LOVE first. Choose LOVE always. If we all did that, it would create a very different world.
