Day 6 of Creativity Challenge - what a challenge!
Day 6 of Creativity Challenge...finally! This one took a lot longer than I thought - probably the most challenging. And then, I was about to post and my phone died. LOL. I tweaked it anyway, the horse on the right was a bit difficult to get quite right. I found myself getting frustrated and wanting to give up and not post it at all, but I took some deep breaths, stuck with it and did the best I could. There is always a next time, to improve and do better!
So, here it is. <3 I found mixed media paper that Fred Merritt-Gambrill got me, and remembered this inspiring picture from Don DiBenedetto and just went with it. I used watercolour and gouache poster paint on top. Never done mixed media before, never painted horses before or anything like this! I honestly thought I couldn't do it at all! Same as the clay kitties. However, I just did my best, and kept chipping away. Took longer than I thought and I'm still a bit self-conscious about it but here it is!!! I'm happy, and I am stoked to keep painting!
I'm really pushing myself out of my comfort zone with this challenge, and doing things I never thought I could. Being super vulnerable putting this stuff out into the world. So thank you thank you thank you for giving me support and helping me find the courage and strength to do things that I never thought I could.
Look forward to seeing what y'all come up with!! And giving you my support as you do things out of your comfort zone as well. We're in this together.
All my love,
